My 1st book...Hard work ahead!!!

OK.  I have a plot,a timeline, and some scenes.  But, I need a story!  My characters need to JUMP off the page and the readers need to be on the edge of their seats waiting, needing to see what happens next!

Looks like play time is over, time to get to work.  Soon, maybe.

My 1st book!!!

"The Mouse and the Empress"

Finished the "Get It Down" phase!  This is a fantasy novel; Tolkein-esqe but not nearly as complex as his world.  But there are different twists to my world.  :D  Now I have to do a self-edit then pass is on to other editors.  We shall see what happens!!!

May post some of it here later.

BIG SECRET!!! Coming soon!!!

Shhhh!!!

Check out this heartwarming video!

School's OUT!!! And work is IN!

Last project is almost done!  It's due tonight at midnight.  I will post the webpage below, in case it looks interesting to you, the reader.  Working a part-time night shift at a data scoring company for a few weeks before school starts again in August.

Will post updates on the "get it down" draft of my first completed book currently titled: The Mouse and the Empress.

Seems like I don't get much writing done unless its homework.  I need better writing habits. Meh!!!

Back to the grindstone!!!

School is back in session and I have a volunteer job, so I am busy again.  Oh, happy day!!!

I love the books in this new class which just happens to be about teaching writing.  They have introduced me to the works of a great man: Don Murray.  I may post more about the class in the future if something truly worthy pops up.  Here is the wiki for him.  Not much, but it's a start.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Murray_(writer)

I have worked on the novel a little bit so I have broken the writer's block.  Once again, I am inching towards the completion of the first draft!!!

Still need to find and post in chapters my 2004 NaNoWriMo.  Maybe this weekend because of the holiday.

OK Now to learn about LJ-cuts so my whole story isn't listed in the Journal!
